Soumya received her PhD degree in cancer biology from Indian Institute of Science. Her doctoral research focused on finding and characterizing diagnostic biomarkers for malignant glioma. Soumya conducted postdoctoral research at Oregon Health and Science University with a focus on identification of novel combination therapeutics for kidney cancer. Soumya has worked across diverse projects in the biopharmaceutical industry, from early target identification to clinical development in the areas of oncology, immunology, and metabolic disorders. She has expertise in handling large scale data from genomics, transcriptomics, and clinical trials. Soumya has implemented bioinformatic workflows to utilize computational biology resources to accelerate drug discovery. She is committed to contributing to the development of improved, evidence-based therapeutics.
